"We've been contacting customers to encourage them to lodge their claims as soon as possible so we can help. We have extra claims consultants ready to provide customers with immediate support, including temporary accommodation and emergency financial assistance."

Once a claim is lodged, immediate help can be activated which may include:

  • Conducting a property 'make safe' to reduce the risk of further damage, such as tarping to prevent further water damage to a home
  • Arranging temporary accommodation or financial support for customers staying with friends or family if they're unable to stay in their property
  • Commencing the assessment process as quickly as possible to scope the required repairs and replace or provide settlements for other belongings covered including contents.

IAG has secured temporary accommodation for customers displaced from their properties, with multiple accommodation options available to suit the needs of individuals and families across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
