As stated by Detective Senior Sergeant Nadene Richmond:
Police are continuing to investigate the fatal house fire in Coatesville on Tuesday morning.
Post-mortems have now been completed and Police can now confirm the identity of one of the deceased.
He was Lee Daniel Roycroft, aged 42.
The formal identification process is ongoing in relation to the second deceased person and Police are not in a position to confirm their identity at this stage.
Enquiries are continuing into the cause of the fire and Police have been present at the property on Mahoenui Valley Road today.
While our enquiries are ongoing, Police will not be speculating around the circumstances of this incident.
