Cocklebiddy fatal crash

Major Crash officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Cocklebiddy on the afternoon of Sunday, 15 December 2019.

About 3.15pm, two road trains were travelling west along the Eyre Highway. Near the entrance of the Cocklebiddy Roadhouse, the second road train collided with the road train in front.

The 60-year-old male driver of the second road train received critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene.

Major Crash investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or the road trains near the Cocklebiddy Roadhouse prior to the crash. Anyone with information relating to the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
