A big crowd has turned out to help launch the re-election campaign of Nationals' Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh.
Joined by former Member for Coffs Harbour Andrew Fraser, more than 100 people attended the function at the Coffs Harbour Surf Club .
Mr Singh spoke about his record of delivery for the Coffs electorate and his vision for the next four years.
"In the last four years, we've started work on the bypass, finished the Coffs Hospital, delivered the Wiigulga Multipurpose Centre and delivered countless other projects," Mr Singh said.
"We've seen dozens of upgrades to our sporting facilities, our upgraded stadium, TAFE campus, and projects like the first Indigenous language school in New South Wales.
"We've funded sporting events like the Big Bash Cricket, OzTag and the NRL to come here, bringing huge economic benefit to our region."
Mr Singh also outlined his priorities for the next term.
"Now my focus is making sure we are creating opportunities for our region, including improving the Jetty Foreshore and boosting housing availability.
"We'll help household budgets through measures like expanding the Regional Seniors Travel Card to students and apprentices, as well as the back to school and active kids vouchers.
"If I'm lucky enough to be re-elected, we'll see the completion of the Coffs Bypass with tunnels, and save Grandpa's Scrub on Mackays Road.
"We'll also build the infrastructure required to enable the film studios.
"This election will be tight, and I'm asking the support of the Coffs Harbour electorate to make sure we can keep creating opportunities in our region."
