Got that beach feeling? Thinking of heading for a swim?
The City of Coffs Harbour's Lifeguard Service kicked off their surf season beach patrols in late September for the school holidays at four of our most popular beaches - Sawtell, Park, Diggers and Woolgoolga.
From this week, lifeguards will patrol Sawtell, Park and Woolgoolga beaches until the Christmas holidays when they will ramp up the service again.
Patrols up to December are Monday to Friday with different times at different beaches:
- Park Beach and Sawtell Beach 9am-5pm
- Woolgoolga Beach 10am-3pm.
"And of course, local Surf Lifesaving Clubs will be patrolling every weekend and public holiday, but please check with the individual surf clubs before hitting the beach," said Ian Fitzgibbon, acting City of Coffs Harbour Director City Planning and Communities.
"And remember, always swim between the red and yellow flags."
Patrol hours for the lifesaving clubs on weekends and public holidays are:
- Sawtell Beach 9am-4pm
- Park Beach 9am-3pm
- Woolgoolga Beach 9am-3pm
- Red Rock Beach 9am-1pm
