Collision In Dandenong Turns Fatal

One person has died following a collision in Dandenong last night.

It is believed a pedestrian was walking across the road when they were allegedly struck by a silver Mercedes sedan on Stud Road about 9pm, on Friday, 7 June.

As a result of the impact the pedestrian was thrown into the centre of the north bound lanes of Stud Road when they were struck by another vehicle.

The small dark coloured SUV did not stop at the scene and continued driving north towards Rowville.

The driver of the Mercedes, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The yet to be formally identified woman was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
