We're transforming the Percy Treyvaud Memorial Park playground – making it bigger and better with a new layout and an improved selection of equipment and fun play experiences.
Last year we asked the community to share their feedback on a draft design that would see the playground transformed with new play experiences and features, while retaining and restoring existing play equipment.
What we heard from the overwhelmingly positive response informed refinements to the playground design, including retaining more trees along the tennis court boundary and adding more seating.
The community input has helped us finalise the design that will deliver a play space genuinely influenced by the people who will use it most. Our thanks to everyone who contributed their feedback and for their interest in this important community asset improvement project.
The playground transformation works will start in February 2025, with the transformed playground expected to open by mid year.
The playground will close during the works and reopen later this year – bigger and better than ever!
