Community Flood Recovery And Resilience Grants Program

Campaspe Shire Council, in collaboration with the Federal and State Governments, is excited to announce the launch of its Community Flood Recovery and Resilience Grants program. This initiative aims to support individuals, families, and community organisations affected by the October 2022 Flood Event.

Campaspe Shire Council CEO Pauline Gordon said this grant program is a crucial step in helping our community build resilience for the future.

"Building community capacity and enhancing emergency preparedness are key priorities for us.

"These grants will empower our community organisations to develop and implement initiatives strengthen our ability to face future challenges with greater confidence and preparedness."

The program offers funding of up to $10,000 (plus GST if applicable) to eligible not-for-profit community organisations, groups, social enterprises, and creative organisations. Examples include the provision of community capacity building initiatives, events and programs that bring the community together and increase social connection.

Ms Gordon explained that the funding available could have a significant impact on community organisations as each eligible applicant or auspice can submit a maximum of five applications per organisation.

Ms Gordon added, "We are committed to ensuring that recovery needs are well understood and that our interventions are evidence-based.

"We encourage all eligible organisations to apply and take advantage of this one-off opportunity.

"We recommend you contact our Recovery Team to discuss your event or program before submitting your application to ensure your event or program is eligible," Ms Gordon said.
