The Horsham Golf Bowls Club is one Horsham's many clubs and services to benefit from Council's Community Grants Program this year, receiving support for a restoration of the light towers at the bowling green.
Alongside a lighting upgrade to the driving range and putting green at the Horsham Golf Club that was also supported by Council, the Horsham Golf Bowls Club also upgraded to new LED lighting.
With the installation of new technology, the Club also sought to restore the aged and rusted six-metre light towers to provide a more inviting and modern look to the facilities.
Council contributed $2000 to the removal, priming, painting and re-installation of the towers.
The result has been praised by the Club's patrons, and the upgrade will make the venue a more attractive location for tournaments and events.
