Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce the successful recipients of the Community Grants and Seniors Grants programs for the month of September. These grants aim to support and empower local community organisations and groups in their valuable work to enhance the quality of life for residents throughout our region.
Council's grants programs provide financial assistance to a diverse range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic development of the Campaspe community. Council received numerous applications for funding, each displaying the passion and dedication of local groups and individuals towards improving our vibrant community.
The grants that were awarded in September included:
Community Event Sponsorship
Council provided approximately $8,500 of financial support for upcoming community events across the shire, including:
- Moama Water Sports Club Ltd to assist with hosting the Beehag 100 Water Ski Race on 9 December.
- Lockington Bowls Club Inc. to assist with hosting the Lockington Ladies Invitation Fours Tournament on 15 November.
- Rochester Community House Inc. to be used for the Rochella Music Festival on 14 October.
- Girgarre Development Group Inc. to go towards hosting the Girgarre Open Gardens event on 22 October and hosting the Showdown in the Soundshell – Youth Music Concert on 19 November.
- Kyabram Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc. to assist with hosting the Kyabram Bush Market on 10 November.
Seniors Grants
Council funded $12,000 of senior events that aim to provide innovative and inclusive events, projects and activities for Campaspe's seniors. The events funded include:
- Rochester Senior Citizens Club Inc. to assist with the Meet & Greet your local Seniors Club initiative.
- Tongala Senior Citizens Club Inc. to go towards kitchen equipment upgrade.
- Kyabram Croquet Club Inc. to be used for their Seniors Day Come & Try Day.
- Kyvalley Swimming Club Inc. to be used for the 'Songs Seniors Love' Concerts in Kyvalley.
- Echuca Dance Group Inc. to go towards the Seniors Week lunch and afternoon dance.
- Kyabram Community Learning Centre Inc. to assist with hosting Community Cake, Cuppa and chat at KCLC (CCCC).
- Lockington Senior Citizens Club Inc. to assist with their Christmas break up.
- Echuca Historical Society Inc. to be used for their event, Cuppa & Chat at the Museum.
- Girgarre Community Group Inc. to be used for their event, Celebrating Seniors.
- Toolleen Seniors Luncheon Group Inc. to assist with the Toolleen Seniors Luncheon Group Christmas Lunch.
- Probus Club of Kyabram Inc. to assist with the Kyabram Seniors Week Morning Melodies event.
- Echuca Neighbourhood House Inc. to be used for the Seniors on Safari event.
- Gunbower Senior Citizens Inc. to assist with an overnight trip
- Echuca Moama Pride Inc. to be used for the Afternoon Delight event.
- Rochester Community House Inc. to be used for the Take a Break event.
