Community Grants Return with Expanded Access Options

Could your community group use a much-needed cash injection to deliver a project that will really make a difference in the Macleay Valley? Now is your chance, Kempsey Shire Council's Community Grants Program is back with the addition of the Creative Macleay Fund.

The grants program offers funding to active community groups so they can deliver community-led projects in a wide variety of forms that benefit the Kempsey Shire.

The program has five funding categories:

  • Community projects fund - $30,000 (up to $5k per applicant)
  • Environmental Fund - $20,000 (up to $5k per applicant)
  • Sporting Fund - $20,000 (up to $2.5k per applicant)
  • Creative Macleay Fund - $20,000 (up to $5k per applicant)
  • Micro Grants - $500 per applicant

    Seniors Festival Grants (3k)

The newly created 'Creative Macleay Fund' aims to support creative industries within our local government area and promote ongoing expansion of a broad range of cultural and creative experiences.

Council's Community Development Manager, Russell Pell, said the Community Grants Programs provides opportunities for a wide range of groups to access funding to do amazing things in the shire and for the community.

Round 1 Dates:

Grants Open: 17 September 2024

Grants Close: 16 October 2024

Funding Announcement: End of November
