Bring your bike, helmet and safety gear for a free community ride day, exploring some of the first 80 kilometres of the newly opened Mogo Trails.
Starting at the Botanic Garden Trailhead, Batemans Bay Mountain Bike Club will lead the way, hosting guided tours on Sunday 20 October, 10am – 1.30pm.
Riders can fuel up with free snacks from Mossy on Gardens Café then hit up the BBQ fundraiser to support the Batemans Bay Mountain Bike Club. Local bike shops will also offer test rides of demo bikes on the day.
Batemans Bay Mountain Bike Club president Jamie Clout was gearing up for the event.
"Club members know the trails really well and are ready to show everyone around on three different loops," he said.
"It will be a great day for new mountain bike riders to come and meet other riders and check out the trails if they haven't had the chance yet."
The cruisy green loop will be perfect for families, the blue loop will be an adventure for those with more experience, and a black loop will challenge the experts.
Mr Clout said group rides are the go: "It'll be awesome to get a party-line down the trails – sitting right behind, chasing each other is so much fun."
