Community Spirit Shines At Cape Paterson Cleanup

On Thursday, July 11, the Cape Paterson Community Hall was buzzing withactivity as volunteers and Council staff came together for a major cleanupeffort. Members from the Cape Paterson Resident and Ratepayers Association,Wonthaggi U3A, and the Indoor Bowls group joined forces to tidy up thestoreroom and kitchen.

The collaborative effort was a resounding success, many hands make lightwork! In just two hours, the volunteers managed to sort through all the groups'items, remove unwanted and broken items, and fill a skip. The result was a moreorganised and clean space, much to the delight of all hall users.

The Cape Paterson Community Hall has seen a notable increase in both casualand group activities over the past year. New groups such as People Who Want toDance, CPRRA Parents Group, South Gippy Shutter Bugs, Home Ed Group, andFitness classes have joined the long-term activities like U3A Pilates classesand Inverloch Guidance Group embroiderers.

These diverse activities highlight the hall's role as a vibrant communityhub where residents can connect, support one another, and enjoy a wide range ofactivities. The recent cleanup is a testament to the strong community spiritthat makes such a dynamic and welcoming environment possible.
