The 2024 Benalla Festival has wrapped up after two massive weekends of excitement, uncovering hidden gems across Benalla and its surrounding towns from 1–10 November.

From bustling markets and an inspiring Film Festival to community workshops, scavenger hunts, and open days, the Festival offered something for everyone. Families enjoyed the Kids' Party at the Splash Park, while thousands gathered for the much-loved Benalla by the Lake event, featuring live music, children's entertainment, street food, beverages, and a spectacular fireworks display. Melbourne Ska Orchestra had the crowd dancing the night away, making it a night to remember.

Benalla Rural City Council Chief Executive Officer, Dom Testoni, expressed his gratitude to the community for their support and participation.

"The Benalla Festival is a true celebration of what makes our community so special. The energy, collaboration, and enthusiasm displayed by residents and visitors alike have made this year's event a resounding success," Mr Testoni said.

"We'd also like to acknowledge the efforts of the volunteers, performers, vendors, and local organisations who contributed to the Festival's success. Together, we've created lasting memories that highlight the unique charm of Benalla and its surrounding towns."

To ensure future Festivals continue to reflect community interests and grow from strength to strength, Benalla Rural City Council is encouraging feedback via an online survey.

"Your feedback is invaluable; it helps us tailor future events to better serve our community and attract visitors to our region. If you attended any part of the Festival, we'd love to hear your thoughts," Mr Testoni added.
