Community Spotlight On Superstar Fundraiser

Meet local primary school student, swimmer and superstar fundraiser Amy!

In 2023 Amy raised $10,129. In 2024 she raised $7,187 and was the 12th highest individual fundraiser in Australia.

Since finishing the Starlight Super Swim Challenge, Amy has been very busy. She attends swimming training four times a week & is enjoying her last year of primary school. She has also been part of her school football team which made it to regionals where they finished runners up recently.

Amy's mum says "Amy is our go getter, always on the move and looking to help people. She is a very caring young lady who has touched the hearts of many people. Despite her own medical challenges she is always putting others before herself."

During the 2023 Super Swim Challenge she connected with one of the 'poster kids' a young boy Mason from WA. She arranged a 'care package of spider man bathers & a towel' and made a hand made card for him which was sent over to him. Amy's family have stayed in touch with his family and he is doing well now.

True to the spirit of our local community - Amy has amazing support from the swim club, her school & family. She even received a Community Gem Award from local MP, Jordan Crugnale this year.

Well done Amy on your inspirational fundraising efforts!
