A program helping prevent gambling harm is now open.
Minister for Community Services, Roger Jaensch, said the Tasmanian Government's Community Support Fund has $1m available.
"We are committed to helping all Tasmanians who are at risk of harm associated with gambling," Minister Jaensch said.
"The Community Support Fund grants support grass roots community organisations to deliver innovative and targeted projects to reduce, prevent or respond to gambling harm.
"Large grants of up to $125,000 are available for projects that help to prevent gambling harm or tackle the causes or impacts of gambling harm.
"Small grants of up to $25,000 are available for projects or equipment that help community organisations to prevent or reduce gambling harm in their communities."
The Government is also pursuing a range of harm minimisation strategies in line with our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.
"The Government is developing a broader harm minimisation package including emerging technologies in use in other states that can improve harm reduction outcomes in Tasmania," Minister Jaensch said.
Applications for the grants close on February 24.
