Congratulations To Lyne's Volunteer Grant Recipients

NSW Nationals

Federal Nationals MP, Dr David Gillespie, has announced a total of 55 organisations in the Lyne electorate will share in $65,225 through the Australian Government's 2023-24 Volunteer Grants

Dr Gillespie congratulated the successful organisations, which are spread across Lyne, and said the grant funding will be put to good use.

"The Volunteer Grants help community organisations support the work of volunteers," Dr Gillespie said.

"Volunteers are the backbone of our community, providing their time and expertise to make life better for those around them.

"They are drawn from all walks of life, and I thank them for their ongoing contributions."

The Volunteer Grants program not only assists volunteers but encourages an increased participation in volunteering.

The grant recipients include Surf Life Saving Clubs, sports groups, P&C associations, and Rural Fire Brigades.

The funding will be put to use in a variety of ways including purchasing small portable equipment, contributing to the cost of training or accreditation of volunteers and reimbursement of fuel costs.
