Wyndham City is pleased to announce that construction has begun at Manor Lakes North Reserve, located on Holyoake Parade in Manor Lakes North.
The development will be delivered in two stages: the Active Open Space and the Sporting Pavilion.
Wyndham City is investing $9.5 million into stage one of the Active Open Space, which will include an oval with a cricket pitch overlay, cricket nets, six tennis courts, car park, playground, multi-use court, footpath network, shelter, BBQ and picnic facilities, landscaping, and exercise equipment.
Stage Two of the project will include the construction of the Modular Sports Pavilion, equipped with a social room, change rooms, storerooms, and a kiosk.
Construction on Stage One of this project is set to conclude late-2025 with Stage Two currently in the design phase.
Wyndham City Mayor, Cr Mia Shaw said: "This is an exciting milestone in our commitment to delivering first-class sport and recreational facilities."
"As our city continues to grow, projects like this help us meet the needs of our community today and into the future, creating welcoming spaces that enhance the quality of life for all residents."
This project aligns with the Manor Lakes North Reserve Masterplan and forms part of the Wyndham Sports Strategy 2045.
