Moira Shire Council is excited to invite residents, businesses, and industry stakeholders to participate in the consultation process for the development of a new Economic Development Strategy.
This strategy will guide the region's future growth and resilience, supporting our towns, primary producers, and booming visitor economy.
As the Moira Shire region continues to grow, Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson said it was important the strategy reflected the needs of both businesses and residents, creating a framework for strategic investments, innovation, and growth across all sectors.
"Our key industry sectors, including manufacturing, agriculture, construction, and transport contribute significantly to the region's annual economic output of $4.7 billion. We aim to build on this success by encouraging new investments, supporting job creation and retention, and strengthening our regional identity as a hub for innovation and productivity," Dr Emonson said.
"We invite the business community and residents to get involved, provide input and help us identify the key strengths and opportunities for the region's economic future."
Council will be hosting interactive workshops where participants can engage in in-depth discussions on Moira Shire's key economic priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities. Community members can register online for one of the following sessions:
