Consultation opens on draft Field Management Plan guidelines

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) is seeking comment from stakeholders about its draft Guidelines on how to prepare a Field Management Plan.

DMIRS Resource and Environmental Compliance Division's Executive Director Karen Caple said the draft document aims to assist the State's petroleum industry to prepare Field Management Plan applications and revisions.

"The guidelines are designed to assist registered title holders to develop their plans in accordance with the requirements of Schedule 3 of the Resource Management and Administration Regulations 2015," she said.

"This 'how-to' resource also provides guidance on submitting the applications through the online Petroleum and Geothermal Register system.

"The consultation period will run for eight weeks and we welcome feedback to ensure these guidelines meet the needs of our stakeholders."
