Contractor Chosen for Warrawong Health Centre Build

Work to deliver the new Warrawong Community Health Centre, part of the $780 million New Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project is on track with the main works contractor appointed.  

Stephen Edwards Constructions has been engaged following a competitive tender process to build the new community health centre. 

The new Warrawong Community Health Centre will provide: 

  • Child and family health services 
  • Binji and Boori (Aboriginal Maternal Infant Health Service) 
  • Community nursing 
  • Community mental health 
  • Sexual health service 
  • Drug and alcohol services  
  • Equipment loan pool 

With the contract awarded, next steps involve finalising the design of the new Centre before construction commences in the coming months.

The new Warrawong Community Health Centre will be located on the Port Kembla Hospital site.

Construction of the community health centre is expected to be completed in 2026.
