  • ADCO Constructions awarded contract for forward works at Laverton Hospital
  • Site works to commence early 2025 in crucial step for this important redevelopment
  • Once complete, new facility will improve emergency and outpatient care services

A contractor has been appointed to deliver forward works for the new Laverton Hospital, in a crucial step forward for this important Cook Government project.

ADCO Constructions has been chosen to deliver early site works, starting in early 2025.

Initial works will include earthworks, temporary access road, sewer diversion, design and trenching for electrical upgrade, and hoarding before the main hospital works begin.

The new Laverton Hospital will provide emergency and outpatient services, including community health, mental health, drug and alcohol services plus specialist facilities as well as a space for visiting clinicians.

The Cook Labor Government is committed to delivering this significant project for the Goldfields-Esperance community.

As stated by Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson:

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of ADCO Constructions to the Laverton Hospital project - a Western Australian contractor with a proven track record of delivering projects in regional areas.

"Ali Kent has been a strong advocate for this project and the appointment of a forward works contractor is significant step.

"Once complete, the new facility will be a modern, fit-for-purpose hospital that includes emergency and outpatient services, community health, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment services and space for visiting clinicians."

As stated by Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent:

"This project has been high on my radar since becoming the Member for Kalgoorlie. I know how important this project is for our region.

"Having worked closely with the Minister, I'm aware that the biggest hurdle has been the challenges finding contractors to be able to work in remote communities. But I knew that the Cook Government's commitment to this project has remained unwavering.

"I will ensure that the Laverton Hospital can continue to deliver contemporary models of care in the local community.

"I look forward to our continued engagement with the Shire of Laverton and seeing works commencing early 2025.
