Gilgandra's Coo-ee Heritage & Visitor Information Centre Bike Hire service launches this week ahead of the Easter Long Weekend.
The launch of the new activation was developed in line with the objectives of Council's Gilgandra Cultural Precinct (GCP) Strategic Plan, Community Strategic Plan, Activation Blueprint and Active Transport Strategy and in collaboration with Council's Economic Development Committee. The service aims to provide an alternative method of transportation, linking Gilgandra's key assets and activations between the GCP and CBD, bolstering the visitor economy.
Four adult bikes, four children's bikes, and one baby seat will be available for hire, and can be hired online via a booking form on the Gilgandra Region website, or in person via a printed form at the Coo-ee Heritage Centre (CHC).
Acting Activation & Communication Manager, Merscia Kouroulis says,
"We're excited to launch the Bike Hire service at the CHC, the introduction of 8 new bikes seeks to elevate sustainable travel along the Windmill Walk and within Gilgandra, enhancing the experience for locals and visitors, showcasing the Region as a great place to Visit, Explore and Stay!"
