Some of our local facilities were highlighted recently with Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke and Bland Shire Council Mayor Brian Monaghan opening the Cooinda Water Course and West Wyalong Tennis Club clubhouse. They also had time to enjoy the Adventure and Ninja Park at Wyalong.
The state government provided $103,300 for the final stage of the Tennis clubhouse under the fourth round of the Stronger Country Communities Fund.
Bland Shire Council secured a grant of $350,000 from the state government under Round seven of the Resources for Regions program to extend the Cooinda Reserve canoe circuit.
The extension included deepening and widening of the existing channel, extra vessels and a launch area which has created an accessible and functional water recreation space for the community and visitors to enjoy.
