Cook Govt Unveils Major Hillarys Primary Upgrades

  • Major rebuild of Hillarys Primary School officially opened
  • $22.8 million investment delivers new classrooms and modern learning facilities
  • Completed project part of Cook Labor Government's record education infrastructure program being delivered across Western Australia

Premier Roger Cook and Education Minister Dr Tony Buti today officially opened the state-of-the-art $22.8 million redevelopment of Hillarys Primary School.

The project, delivered by the Cook Labor Government, includes 16 new general learning classrooms, two new kindergarten classrooms and a new inclusive education classroom.

A new administration building, library, staffroom, hardcourts, parking and landscaping also form part of the build. The redevelopment also includes new terraces providing areas for outdoor teaching and learning opportunities.

The major rebuild of the school was completed in three stages and designed by EIW Architects and built by Crothers Construction.

Hillarys Primary School is a Kindergarten to Year 6 school with more than 500 students enrolled. The redevelopment replaces the school facilities that opened in 1973.

This project is part of the WA Labor Government's record $4.8 billion education infrastructure investment that is being delivered across the State.
