On November 6, the Global Day of Action for Climate Justice, people around the world will be protesting during the COP26 climate summit to demand that their leaders act decisively to prevent catastrophic global warming. Runaway climate change will hit working class and vulnerable communities hardest, like we saw in the 2019-20 summer bushfires. We must be on the front foot in demanding and shaping a just transition that will create good union jobs with secure conditions and retraining for fossil fuel workers.
Scott Morrison has finally agreed to attend COP26 in Glasgow. But his embrace of the net zero by 2050 target cannot disguise his ongoing efforts to expand gas and fossil fuel projects and reject serious targets for 2030. Please join our protest in Sydney to demand that the Morrison government act now.

- Climate jobs not nuclear subs - no to the AUKUS deal - no shift to nuclear power.

This will be a COVID Safe rally, all participants must be vaccinated as per public health order, check in via QR code, maintain social distancing and are encouraged to wear masks. Gatherings of 200 people are now permitted under the health regulations, however we are also hoping to receive an exemption from NSW Health to allow larger numbers.
