Victoria was notified of 392 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All were locally acquired cases.
There are 3,112 active cases in Victoria - 3,108 locally acquired and four overseas-acquired cases.
There are 147 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. 34 of those cases are in intensive care, with 28 cases on a ventilator. Of the cases in hospital yesterday, only one was fully vaccinated.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 25,128. Eight historic cases were reclassified yesterday.
Vaccines
Yesterday there were 36,534 vaccine doses administered by Victoria's state-commissioned services.
The total number of doses administered through these services is 2,834,159.

From today, any pregnant woman in Victoria in the later stages of pregnancy, from 24 weeks onwards, and those with complicated or high-risk pregnancies as determined by their health care provider, can access reserved Pfizer vaccination appointments in the state system.
All Year 11 and 12 students sitting VCE Unit 3&4 exams can also book priority appointments for COVID-19 vaccination until Sunday 19 September. Booking information has been provided directly to eligible families.
From 23 September, freight and healthcare workers entering Victoria under the Specified Worker (Multiple Entry) Permit must have had at least one vaccination dose before entry.
Evidence can be documentation from the vaccine provider of your first dose or your COVID-19 digital certificate which is accessible through Commonwealth myGov account.
Workers will need to apply for a new permit if their current permit expires after 23 September and confirm that they have received their vaccine dose to be eligible for this permit.
Under the current directions, getting vaccinated is not a reason to travel from metropolitan Melbourne and Greater Shepparton (both currently classified as restricted zones) to a non-restricted regional area and vice versa.

Of the 392 local cases diagnosed yesterday, 107 were linked to current cases as of this morning. More cases are expected to be linked today to current cases and outbreaks as investigations continue.

Around 65 per cent of yesterday's cases in Victoria are in Melbourne's northern suburbs
There were 5 cases reported yesterday in regional Victoria. Two in East Gippsland, one in Greater Geelong, one in Macedon Ranges and one in Mildura.
Of Victoria's active cases:
- 454 are aged between 0 and 9
- 509 are aged between 10 and 19
- 755 are aged between 20 and 29
- 550 are aged between 30 and 39
- Around 85 per cent of all active cases in Victoria are aged under 50.
There are currently around 16,000 active primary close contacts in isolation in Victoria.
At midday today, there were more than 1000 published exposure sites in Victoria.

There may be occasions when the Department is unable to make contact with a business or residential premises before their listing as an exposure site. At all times, we take the decision of when to publish these sites in the interests of public health.
The Department regularly manages exposure sites that it doesn't publish online, particularly if these sites represent lower-risk exposure, or if they have comprehensive record-keeping and contact-tracing measures, or if they identify small, private locations - including smaller apartment or townhouse complexes.
COVID-19 wastewater detection in Ballarat
There have been repeat unexpected wastewater detections in the Ballarat South area from samples collected over the last fortnight.
The detections could be the result of a person in the area who has recovered from COVID-19 but is still shedding the virus or it could be an undiscovered new case.
Anyone who lives, works or has visited the following suburbs is urged to watch for the mildest of COVID-19 symptoms and to get tested as soon as possible if symptoms develop:
