Corporate Games Chooses Leeds For Second Year

The University of Leeds has been chosen to host the 2025 UK Corporate Games - the first time that the event will be hosted by the same city in consecutive years.

The UK Corporate Games is the largest multi-sport festival for business, with a programme of sporting events including dragon boat racing, football, netball, padel, karting and running.

Traditionally the games are held in a different city across the UK each year, but following the success of this year's event and positive feedback from participants and organisers, it was announced that the games will return to Leeds from 24-27 July 2025.

Sporting events will be hosted on campus and across other venues in the city – and everyone is welcome to join in with the fun.

Patrick Craig, Head of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Leeds, said: "Being chosen to host this flagship event for the second year running is testament to the hard work of colleagues involved in hosting the hugely successful 2024 games, and the enthusiasm and engagement of our own community.

"The games really are one of a kind, offering colleagues a unique blend of fun, friendly competition and teamwork for all abilities. There will be plenty of opportunities for colleagues to get involved, both as participants and in some newly created team leader roles."

The Games champion teamwork through sport, ensuring participants of all levels and abilities feel inspired. Companies of all sizes can compete in the wide range of sporting activities.

Last year record numbers of competitors came together to take part in the events, including more than 70 businesses and more than 180 University of Leeds staff.
