Tourism businesses within the Mildura region have an opportunity to dramatically increase their exposure at a national level with a free 12-month listing on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW).
Valued at $295, ATDW listings showcase regions' accommodation, tours, attractions and dining experiences on a host of leading tourism sites including Visit Victoria, Visit the Murray and Tourism Australia.
This content is also electronically accessible to tourism wholesalers, retailers and distributors to use on their websites and booking systems.
The current opportunity for a free ATDW listing was negotiated by the Murray Regional Tourism Board and is available until 31 August as part of a statewide initiative.
Councillor for Economic Development and Tourism Mark Eckel encouraged local tourism businesses to take advantage of this valuable and unique opportunity.
"This is an amazing opportunity to significantly increase your business's reach regionally and nationally to potentially thousands of new visitors, and there's no cost," Cr Eckel said.
"By including your listing with the ATDW you'll not only help your own business, but increase our region's tourism presence."
Mildura Regional Development Chief Executive Officer Brett Millington echoed Cr Eckel's comments.
"This is a perfect opportunity to be listed on Australia's major tourism websites," Mr Millington said.
"When people are considering holidays, their research will typically involve online searches and this is a great way to get your business front and centre of potential tourists.
"Exposure on these sites also provides a unique entry to be considered as part of state and national tourism marketing campaigns."
