Bega Valley Shire Council will be closing many of its services for the day on Tuesday 3 December to hold an all-staff development day.
"This day provides an invaluable opportunity for our staff to connect, share knowledge, collaborate and reflect on Council's role as a multi-faceted community organisation," Council's CEO, Anthony McMahon said.
"It's a chance for us to work better as a team and reflect on how we can serve the community more effectively."
Services that will stay open include the Sapphire Aquatic Centre and other shire swimming pools, Council-run Childcare Centres, the South East Centre for Contemporary Art (SECCA) and the Central Waste Facility (for commercial customers only).
Kerbside waste and recycling collection will also continue as normal.
Our Waste and Recycling Centres, libraries and our Bega office will close for the day.
Customer Service phones will be diverted to our after-hours service during this time.
"We thank the community for their patience while we take the time to ensure our staff are well-connected and informed," Mr McMahon said.
All services will resume as normal on Wednesday 4 December.
