Council CEO Seeks New Opportunity

Benalla Rural City Council's Chief Executive Officer, Mr Dom Testoni, has announced his decision to step down from his role, bringing his tenure to a close in January 2025. His departure marks the next step in his career as he transitions to the role of Director of Assets and Operations at Macedon Ranges Shire Council.

Since commencing in January 2019, Mr Testoni has provided leadership and guidance to the Council, contributing to a range of projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the lives of all in Benalla Rural City.

Mr Testoni expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the Benalla community, reflecting on his time with the Council and the support of staff, Councillors and community members.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Benalla Rural City Council, but the time has come for my family and I to move on," Mr Testoni said.

"It's been a privilege to work with such a committed team and to be a part of a community that deeply values progress and connection."

The Council will soon begin the process of appointing a new CEO, with a commitment to keeping the community informed as details unfold. Council looks forward to identifying a leader who will build on Mr Testoni's work and continue to advance the needs and aspirations of the Benalla community.
