Council Connect 14 February

Hello, Councillor James Campbell here, bringing you your weekly Council video.

There's been a lot happening. The Clarence Town Structure Plan has been put on public exhibition. The council has placed a draft Structure Plan and Streetscape Master Plan on public exhibition for the community's review. It's envisaged that this plan will establish a clear vision and guiding principles for the next 30 years, and we are seeking community feedback for the finalisation of the plans and subsequent adoption by council.

Please take the time to review the documents and provide your feedback. You can find the draft plans on the Council's website, and there is also a link on our Facebook page that will lead you directly to the plans. For those who would prefer to review the plans in person, we are absolutely accommodating that. We have printed copies at the Dungog Council's Administration Building, the Dungog Library, and the Clarence Town Post Office.

We'll also be holding a number of information sessions if you would like to come and see us in person, learn more, or have any questions about the plans. These sessions will be held on Saturday, 22 February, in the morning and afternoon, and on Tuesday, 4 March, in the afternoon.

Saturday, 22 February

  • 9am – 12pm at the Clarence Town Markets
  • 1pm – 4pm in front of the Clarence Town IGA

Tuesday, 4 March

  • 4.30pm – 6.30pm at the Clarence Town School of Arts Hall

In addition to that, we had our free animal microchipping day. Thank you to those who came and took advantage of our free microchipping day. It was a great success, where we had 26 cats and dogs microchipped in total, two working dog registrations, and three change of ownerships. It's been a great result for Council, and I'll see you next time.
