At the Council Meeting held on 16 July 2024, Council endorsed over $13,500 in financial assistance to four groups.
The Rotary Club of Goulburn will receive financial assistance for the 2024 Southern Tablelands Science and Engineering Challenge by way of a $3000 cash contribution and covering 50% of the hire fees for Veolia Arena to the value of $360.
The Marian Procession will receive $2,900.37 in kind support for traffic control associated with the temporary road closure of Bourke Street from Clinton Street to Clifford Street for the procession for the Recitation of the Rosary.
The Lilac City Festival will benefit from a $5000 cash donation that will go towards the running of the 2024 Lilac City Festival, as well as in kind support for traffic control for road closures required for the weekend of the festival.
The Goulburn and District Art Society will receive a cash donation of $2,500 to go toward its Annual Art Prize event.
These financial contributions aim to bolster community engagement, support local initiatives, and promote cultural and educational activities within the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government area.
