Council Grants Open for Applications

Applications are now open for three Mildura Rural City Council grant programs, providing opportunities for a broad range of groups and clubs to apply for up to $50,000 for their next big project.

This latest round of grants includes a new program to help eligible businesses, community groups and schools fund projects that reduce and divert waste going to landfill.

Grants are open in the following categories:

Community Grants

Up to $10,000 for significant projects and up to $6,000 for smaller projects.

These grants are aimed at supporting initiatives that provide opportunities for increased community participation and inclusion.

They're also aimed at projects that support a diverse range of interest areas including health and wellbeing, community spirit, arts, history, culture and access and equity.

Applications close on August 19, 2024.

Recreation Assistance Grants

Council's Recreation Assistance Grants provide funding to support recreation groups undertake projects that encourage leisure activities to increase participation in sport and recreation activities.

Funding is available across four streams:

  • Club Support Grant: Up to $2,000 available
  • Recreation Planning Grant: Up to $19,000 available
  • Minor Facility Upgrade Grant: Up to $20,000 available
  • Major Facility Upgrade Grant: Between $20,000 and $50,000 available

Applications close in March 2025.

Waste Minimisation & Resource Recovery Grants

This is a new Council grant program aimed at supporting eligible businesses, community groups and schools to access funding for innovative waste management projects that will reduce and divert waste going to landfill.

Funding up to $20,000 per year for each applicant is available for projects that implement waste minimisation, circular economy and/or increase resource recovery.

Applications close on August 19, 2024.
