Council Hosts Lunch To Welcome New Residents To Orange

Orange Council

Orange City Council invites new residents to the city to attend a Welcome Lunch on Saturday, 12 October 2024, at Orange Botanic Gardens.

New residents and their families who have moved to Orange in the last 12 months are welcome to attend the free lunch from 11 am to 1 pm at the Clover Hill Function Centre at the gardens.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a light lunch, along with a glass of local wine or beer.

The event will also feature a mix of entertainment, including live music by local musicians, guest speakers, and lucky door prizes, as well as lawn games and activities for the kids to enjoy.

Orange Mayor Jason Hamling encourages all new residents to attend this welcoming event.

"We look forward to welcoming new members of the Orange community and making them feel right at home in our city. This is a fantastic opportunity for new residents to meet fellow newcomers and learn more about what our vibrant community has to offer," Cr Hamling said.

"It's also a chance to build connections and find out more about local service organizations and community groups in Orange."

The lunch will be held on Saturday, 12 October 2024, from 11 am to 1 pm at the Botanic Gardens Function Room.
