Goulburn Mulwaree Council's Health and Wellbeing Team has taken a proactive step towards saving lives by organising a blood drive across the Council. This initiative aligns with the annual nationwide effort where industries and organisations come together to make a significant impact through blood donations.

The Local Government Blood Drive, scheduled from July to September, aims to rally support for this crucial cause. Over the course of three days, 26 dedicated Goulburn Mulwaree Council staff members will be rolling up their sleeves to donate blood to Lifeblood, with the potential to save up to 78 lives.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council Chief Executive Officer, Aaron Johansson, shared his pride in heading an organisation that values community service. He expressed, "I feel privileged to lead a team that promotes giving back. It is truly humbling to see 26 staff members volunteering to help support the community."

The Council extends its congratulations to the Health and Wellbeing Team for spearheading this life-saving initiative and commends the employees who are generously donating their blood in July.
