Community members are invited to engage in an open conversation with City of Greater Geelong councillors on Tuesday 25 March ahead of the March Council meeting.
The 'Meet Your Councillor' event will offer the public an opportunity to attend an informal question and consultation session at Wurriki Nyal Civic Precinct.
During the session, community members will have a chance to raise questions outside of the allotted question time in the Council Meeting. This will also provide a platform for the public to meet councillors and raise concerns specific to their wards.
Councillors will welcome questions outside of topics tabled for the March Council Meeting. Any subject on the Council Meeting agenda cannot be discussed within the 'Meet Your Councillor' session.
While not all councillors will be present, this trial engagement offers a significant opportunity for residents to build connections with their local representatives.

This trial session will offer an informal environment for us to all converse freely and openly. We recognise that perhaps not everyone feels comfortable speaking publicly in a formal environment at Council meetings.
We hope this session will alleviate these barriers and offer an alternative for those still looking to engage councillors and make their questions or concerns known.
The Meet Your Councillor session will take place in the foyer at Wurriki Nyal Civic Precinct, 137-149 Mercer Street from 4.45pm – 5.30pm.
The March Council meeting will follow at City Hall at 6.00pm.
