Council leading way on R U OK Day

R U OK messages from Matty and Kyle

R U OK 2020 is asking us to keep the conversation alive with this year's message "there's more to say after R U OK".

The 2020 Live4Life crew members are showing their support for this campaign by sharing photos of themselves holding posters of what this message means to them.

The Live4Life crew are a group of young people from secondary schools throughout the Macedon Ranges. The crew promote mental health awareness and encourage young people to speak out, ask for help and offer your support to each other.

Council staff have also taken part in a series of Week of Wellbeing activities designed to promote awareness of mental health and wellbeing in the lead up to R U OK Day. Council's People, Culture and Performance team partnered with HALT to deliver online sessions for staff over the past week.

HALT (Hope Assistance Local Tradies) was the recipient of a 2017 WorkSafe award for OHS Achievement of the Year.

Today, Thursday 10 September is R U OK Day. Check out the photos and messages on Council's Facebook page and the Macedon Ranges Youth Facebook page today.
