  • Council endorsed demolition of three timber bridges across Jembaicumbene Creek along Araluen Road, Reidsdale that are a listed local heritage item and will implement recommendations from Council's Heritage Advisor and the Heritage Report. Council will receive a report on remaining timber bridges in QPRC, their heritage status and condition prior to being asked to endorse demolition of any more such bridges.
  • Council declined a donation request of $4,163.22 to residents of Warrigal Community Village under Category C of our Donations Policy. Council will write to NSW Govt asking they consider rates, water and sewer relief for pensioners in this situation.
  • Council endorsed naming fields at the Bungendore Sports Hub the Anthony Rayner Field and the Garry Cook Field. Names will be placed on public exhibition for 28 days at https://yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au and Council will hold a naming event if no objections received
  • Council endorsed renewal of existing alcohol free zones and alcohol prohibited areas, and added 1 Farrer Place Queanbeyan following request from Monaro Police District. The list will be placed on public exhibition for 30 days at https://yourvoice.qprc.nsw.gov.au
  • Council will proceed with detailed design and construction of Option 3 for Monaro Street upgrade. Council will consult with affected property owners and business operators prior to inviting tenders for construction. Council will receive a further report on options for replacement of 300mm water main in Monaro Street.
  • Council received December 2024 investment report, noting return of $1,238.470
  • Council endorsed placing policies on public exhibition for 28 days: Social Media Policy, Media Policy, Petition Policy, Related Party Disclosures Policy, Anti-Fraud and Corruption Policy, Boundary Fences Adjoining Council Public Reserves Policy. If no submissions received, the policies will be adopted. Council also agrees to move Playground Management Policy and Activity Cost Attribution and Distribution of Governance Policy from strategic to operational policies
  • The Register of Annual Returns of Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest and Other Matters by Councillors was tabled and will be made available on Council's website
  • Council received information report about changes to the legislation governing the way parking fines are issued
  • Council received update on the Jerrabomberra Traffic Campaign after community consultation
  • Council received a summary report of the road renewal and maintenance activities completed between 1 October and 31 December 2024
  • Council received information report about a survey of business community conducted in late 2024
  • Council received report recognising that Green Flag Awards have been awarded for Queen Elizabeth II Park and Queanbeyan Park
  • Council received information report about bi-annual compliance and reporting activities for the Office of Local Government
  • Council received information report about the upcoming sale of land for unpaid rates
  • Council received information report on the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality activities for the period 1 October to 31 December 2024
  • Council received information report on councillor workshop on 22 Jan. Workshop included information on Draft South East and Tablelands Strategic Regional Integrated Transport Plan; Monaro Street upgrade, Draft Deed of Settlement – Minister Education and Early Learning and QPRC, Community Engagement Strategy, Revised Solid Fuel Policy; and a briefing on break-ins around QPRC.
  • Council endorsed the 3 December 2024 Local Traffic Committing meeting minutes and recommendations
  • Council noted the 5 December 2024 minutes of the Bungendore Floodplain Risk Management Committee
  • Council notes the draft minutes of the of the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee held on 9 December 2024
  • Council receives an information report regarding bus shelters and the locations where they will be installed in 2024-25
  • Council received questions with notice about Bungendore lead contamination works and answers will be provided at a February Council meeting
  • Council received question with notice on progress at the old D&S Site on Wallace Street in Braidwood and answers will be provided at a February Council meeting
  • Council received question with notice on progress of upgrades of Nerriga Road and answers will be provided at a February Council meeting
  • In closed session, Council awarded Contract No. 2024-78 for the supply and installation of road safety barrier systems to Western Safety Barriers Group Pty Ltd commencing 3 March 2025 for 3 years, with option to extend contract for two additional 12mth period
  • In closed session, Council approved the draft Deed of Settlement with the NSW Minister for Education and Early Learning and QPRC, which establishes legal framework for court proceedings to be resolved. Council authorised GM to negotiate changes if not inconsistent with legal advice and will receive the final Deed of Settlement at the next meeting
  • In closed session, Council received information report about notice of project financial and scope management audit of Restart NSW Fund - South Jerrabomberra Innovation Precinct project
