The Victorian Tourism Awards 2025 are the perfect opportunity for tourism business to shine – and Campaspe Shire Council would like to help our local businesses showcase their tourism offerings on the state stage at the annual awards, which will launch later this month.
To make the most of this exciting opportunity, Council's tourism team is offering local businesses the chance to apply for a place in its Tourism Awards Mentoring Program, which will be launched at a Tourism Awards Information Session to be held in Echuca on 1 April.
The session will provide information for tourism business operators on how entering the Victorian Tourism Awards can benefit their business, elevate their brand, and showcase their achievements to a wider audience.
This information session will:
- Provide an overview of the Victorian Tourism Awards 2025 program and submission process;
- Offer insights into what makes a strong submission; and
- Answer any questions about the awards and the mentoring support available.
Following the information session, businesses will have the opportunity to apply for Council's Tourism Awards Mentoring Program, which offers one-on-one guidance to help refine their submissions and improve their chances of success.
Tourism specialist Karen Oliver, of KO Tourism, will lead the information session and the mentoring program.
"Entering the tourism awards is more than just winning—it's an opportunity to work on your business, benchmark against your peers, and develop a deeper understanding of your strengths and areas for growth," Ms Oliver said.
"It's also a chance to showcase the incredible tourism experiences in Campaspe Shire and promote the region as a key tourism destination in Victoria,
"This session and mentoring program will give businesses the tools and support to craft strong submissions, making the process easier and more achievable. Don't miss this opportunity to boost your business, gain industry recognition, and celebrate your achievements."
Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell encourages local tourism businesses to grab this chance to learn how they can boost their profile through the Victorian Tourism Awards.
"Campaspe Shire Council recognises the attributes and diversity of the region's tourism businesses and visitor experiences and is encouraging operators to showcase their tourism offerings on the Victorian stage at the annual awards," he said.
"Council's own tourism team is entering the awards in the Local Government Tourism category to help showcase the region, and we invite local business to join with us in working together to not only grow a quality visitor experience in our Campaspe Shire but to let the rest of Victoria – and Australia – know what we have to offer."
