Mildura Rural City Council is partnering with Amaze, the peak body for autistic people and their supporters in Victoria, to host a free workshop on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and autism.
The workshop, which will be held on Wednesday 21 April from 9:30am to midday at the Alfred Deakin Centre, aims to help participants with planning review meetings, ensuring they can achieve the best possible outcomes.
It will also explore and refresh your knowledge about:
- goals
- changes to your circumstances and how best to reflect that in your goals and statements
- Support Coordination and Plan Management
- NDIS 2021 price guide and changes to price guide
- Appeals
The workshop will also include a presentation by Amanda Barton, who will share her personal experience as an autistic adult, while discussing the importance of peer support.
Registrations for the workshop close on Monday 19 April.
