Council to Host BMX, Skate, Scoot Comp & Art Workshop

Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with the Victorian State Government and FReezA, is excited to announce a BMX, skate, and scoot competition and art workshop as part of Greater Shepparton Youth Fest 2024. These events will take place on Sunday 29 September 2024 at the Shepparton Skate Park.

In Summary

  • Greater Shepparton Youth Fest 2024 will feature a BMX, skate and scoot competition on Sunday 29 September at Shepparton Skate Park, with judging by International judge Renton Millar.
  • The Deadly Deks Art Workshop, led by artist Tammy Lee Atkinson, will allow participants to design a skateboard deck with a First Nations theme; materials are provided.
  • Events include categories for Under 13 and Over 13, with competitions and art workshops fully supervised and open to all ages in a drug, vape, alcohol and smoking-free environment.

The BMX, skate, and scoot competition, judged by International judge Renton Millar, will feature categories for Under 13 and Over 13 with the schedule as follows:

  • Scoot starting at 11am
  • BMX at 12.30pm
  • Skate at 1.30pm

Participants can compete for first, second, or third place medals. Spaces are limited, and registrations will be taken on the day.
