Councils Collaborate To Launch "Visit Echuca Moama"

Visit Echuca Moama

Echuca Moama will maintain its strong presence in the tourism landscape through new marketing initiatives developed by Campaspe Shire and Murray River Councils.

The Visit Echuca Moama campaign, launched this week, aims to further promote the region as a must-visit destination along the iconic Murray River and highlight the unique experiences the area has to offer.

"We look forward to working closely with Murray River Council to showcase our region's stunning natural beauty and diverse attractions," said Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell.

"Visit Echuca Moama will enhance our collective efforts to engage visitors, support local tourism operators and grow our vibrant visitor economy," he said

As part of the launch, a suite of marketing initiatives will roll out, including:

  • A new Visit Echuca Moama website, designed to inspire and guide travellers
  • Enhanced social media engagement to connect with audiences near and far
  • Targeted campaigns across both digital and traditional platforms to reach diverse markets.

To further amplify the region's appeal, the councils are collaborating with a top-tier destination marketing agency to lead a robust digital campaign over the summer season. This campaign will showcase Echuca Moama's unique attractions, including its iconic paddle steamers, riverside dining, rich history, and outdoor adventures. These themes will also be promoted in a three-month TV campaign encouraging people to plan their trip via the Visit Echuca Moama website.

"By investing in innovative marketing strategies, we are ensuring Echuca Moama continues to thrive as a destination of choice," said Murray River Council Mayor, Cr John Harvie.

"Visitors and tourism operators alike can look forward to continued promotion, collaboration, and growth through the Visit Echuca Moama campaign," he added.

The social media campaign is the first element to launch, with the website and TV campaign soon to follow.
