Regional Western Australia has come out on top in the latest round of the State Government's Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF), with 16 country-based groups securing funding to develop local sport projects.
Five Perth-based sport and recreation projects have also received funding - taking the total amount allocated this round to $697,000.
Premier Mark McGowan visited the Harvey Brunswick Leschenault Football Club to deliver funding to help develop standalone women's change rooms, while Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray hit Collie Speedway to provide the facility with money to install new track lighting.
There was also funding for projects as far south as Albany and north to Broome. In the city, the Cockburn BMX track and South Perth Junior Cricket Club, among others, received grants.
The CSRFF provides sport and recreation clubs and local governments with funding support to help develop grassroots sport projects - providing communities around the State with places to play sport and recreate.

- Exmouth Squash Club: Replacement of two squash court floors - $20,000
- Ravensthorpe Handgun Club: Development of new 100m range - $46,487
- Ravensthorpe Equestrian Club: Construction of new horse yards - $6,566
- Albany Equestrian Centre Association: Extension of existing sand arena - $5,358
- Pearl Coast Gymnastics Club, Broome: Installation of a new storage shed - $24,000
- Shire of Northampton: Upgrades to netball, basketball and tennis courts at Northampton Community Centre - $60,437
- Shire of Coorow: Upgrade golf tee boxes at Green Head Golf Club - $5,678
- Dudley Park Bowling and Recreation Club: Upgraded lighting - $11,500
- City of Mandurah: Upgrade of change rooms and toilets at Falcon Reserve - $50,000
- East Pilbara BMX Club: Track upgrades - $25,400
- Busselton Hockey Stadium: Lighting upgrade - $59,000
- Harvey Brunswick Leschenault Football Club: Construction of women's change rooms at Brunswick Recreation Ground - $75,000
- Collie Racing Drivers Association: Installation of new track lighting - $21,291
- Shire of Pingelly: Construct two new cricket practice nets at Pingelly Recreation and Cultural Centre on Pingelly Oval - $15,863
- Shire of Mukinbudin: Indoor court upgrade at Mukinbudin Sports Complex - $32,293
- Shire of Wagin: Heating for learn to swim pool, including solar heating and blankets at Wagin Memorial Swimming Pool - $7,500
Metropolitan projects:
- City of Kwinana: Change room upgrades at Medina Oval - $72,160
- City of Cockburn: Lighting upgrade at Cockburn BMX track - $100,000
- South Perth Junior Cricket Club: Storage, showers and toilets upgrades at Raphael Park - $25,000
- Baldivis Equestrian and Pony Club: Grass for extended sand area - $13,000
- City of Armadale: Construction of beach volleyball courts at Novelli Reserve - $20,767

As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray:
"Country WA is the big winner in this round of the CSRFF small grants program, with 75 per cent of funded projects based in regional areas.
"With everything from swimming pool improvements to sports courts and BMX track upgrades, there is a wide spread of sport and recreation activities being supported this round.
"The CSRFF enables grassroots clubs and local governments to build quality local sporting infrastructure, helping WA communities stay connected and mentally and physically healthy."
