Police have arrested a man and a woman today in the Riverland after they allegedly breached the Emergency Management Act.
The pair were arrested at an address in Moorook South earlier this afternoon. Police will allege the pair drove into South Australia from Victoria and avoided checkpoints. Police will further allege neither had approvals to enter the State.
The 55-year-old man and 51-year-old woman, both from Colignan in country Victoria, have been charged with failing to comply with a direction. They have been conveyed to the City Watch House where they will remain in custody before appearing in the Berri Magistrates Court tomorrow via video link.
Both have undergone COVID testing and returned negative results.
