Cowes drain works are ready to go

Stormwater drainage renewal works are about to get underway in Cowes.

This $65,000 project is fully funded by Bass Coast Shire Council and will see works taking place between 181 and 183 Church Street over the next four weeks.

This project is an important part of Council's Stormwater Drainage Renewal Program under the Drainage Services Asset Management Plan 2020-24.

The works will include the construction of new underground stormwater drainage pipes/pits and modification of existing drainage infrastructure between 181 and 183 Church Street. Improvement to the underground stormwater drain system is required in this area, due to existing flooding problems.

Appropriate traffic and pedestrian control measures will be implemented onsite during the works. Local and emergency access will be provided at all times.

The contractor will make every effort to minimise disruptions to road users, residents and businesses during these works and Council appreciates your patience during these times.
