We are banishing the winter chill at the Hawkesbury Companion Animal Shelter for our furry friends.
Underfloor heating will be installed to the dog kennels, one row at a time. This improvement should see a significant, positive impact on animal welfare throughout the shelter. The renovations are expected to take up to 30 days and will commence on Monday 8 July 2024.
During these renovations we will be moving some of our available for adoption dogs to another facility, Pound Patrol Rescue in Bringelly. The dogs selected to move during this period will be past the 42-day cap
Dogs will still be available for adoption through this period, and we will be working together with the rescue group to cross promote each dog to ensure they are still able to be viewed by members of the public.
