It's an adventure!
Firstly, I would like to start by thanking everyone who encouraged, supported (and maybe twisted my arm a little) to run for our Council. Of course, thank you to everyone who voted for me, and I truly appreciate all of your support - I certainly couldn't be doing this without you. I am grateful for your trust in me and my ability to serve our community.
As 2025 started I began to realise fully what a big responsibility being a Councillor is. Working through how we decide on our Council Plan for the next four years did seem at times overwhelming.
Thanks to the support and encouragement of the other councillors, and the patient help of staff, I have learned a great deal and am finding my feet and beginning to enjoy this new adventure.
While some of us are new, we also have the wisdom of some very experienced people, which I think is making a great team who will work well for our community across the whole of our Shire.
We have such a great community here in the Central Goldfields that I am proud to be a part of. Now I'm representing my community to achieve the best outcomes, I'm hoping we can work together and build a great relationship well into the future.
I'm excited about what the future holds and I am committed to working tirelessly in representing the best interests of all in our community. I hope to meet with many more of you as we bring together the Council Plan.
