At approximately 5:10pm on Tuesday the 22nd of November 2022 an 18 year old male pedestrian from Youngtown was crossing Lambert Street, Ravenswood at the intersection of Ravenswood Road.
Whilst crossing the road the pedestrian was struck by a black Mitsubishi Lancer being driven by a 28 year old female from Waverley.
Emergency services attended the scene and the pedestrian was transported to the Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition suffering head and leg injuries.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing, with Northern Crash Investigation Service having attended the scene.
Members of the public are reminded to take particular care when driving in built up areas with pedestrian traffic and for pedestrians to take care when crossing the road.
