Police and emergency services are currently in attendance at a single vehicle crash on SH1 north of Tirau.
The crash occurred by the golf course at about midday today.
One person has serious injuries and another person has minor injuries.
The road will be closed for some time while emergency services work at the scene.
Diversions will be put in place shortly and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
